De Kiesmannen are entering the stage this year with their new theatrical performance Searching for Europe. The performance takes you on a journey full of music and stories from the towers of Brussels to the edges of the continent. Because Europe is within turbulent times: the Brits chose their own path, the Hungarians are tearing down the rule of law and a devastating war is raging in Ukraine. Europe barely knows how to deal with today’s major challenges, but especially not with itself. Do you even remember what it means to be European? Or do we need a new European story? Europe is drowning in its own history; the old continent is looking for answers. Join the search for Europe.
De Kiesmannen create impactful theater shows, programs and podcasts to bring politics to life for young people. Previously, their shows have included sold-out Paradiso, ITA, Stadsschouwburg Groningen and European Parliament. During this performance, De Kiesmannen are throwing a spanner in the works. Under the guidance of director Leopold Witte, actors Anton de Bies, Dorien van Gent and Dylan Ahern unravel the European story through acting, music and humor.
Johan Fretz: “De Kiesmannen know how to set any theater ablaze with a sparkling, unique blend of social themes and entertainment.”
