The Electors Academy is a new track where 20 young participants (18-28) will have the opportunity to develop themselves politically, journalistically, socially and help increase voter turnout for the 2023 provincial elections.
The Electors Academy lasts for 8 weeks, during which you will receive different workshops each week from opinion makers, journalists, politicians. You will build a rich network and visit cool venues and events. In addition, under professional guidance, you will create your own small campaign (with campaign budget!), to mobilize more young people in your neighborhood to vote.
The entire program consists of 9 activities, including 6 workshops (starting February 3, every Friday afternoon from 1:00 – 5:30 p.m.), the Election Show with the Electors in Paradiso (March 6), the Election Night (March 15) and a review of the campaign (March 24). There will also be informal meetings around the start and conclusion of the program.
Devika Partiman (Founder Vote for a Woman), Younes Douari (Founder Represent Yourself), Thomas Neerbos (Director European Press Prize) and many more, among others, are part of this academy.
All participants were selected in January 2023. The Academy launched on Feb. 3, 2023.
The Academy is co-funded by the City of Amsterdam & the European Union.
